Copy Editing and Proofreading

I have advised and proofread for major publishing and broadcasting companies and was consultant editor for Wendy Pye Publishing Ltd. (New Zealand and south-east Asia).

Based on my wide experience, I am happy to offer you

An example of crucial spelling corrections

Attention to detail makes all the difference! An embarrassed publisher had to destroy thousands of copies of a new book after confusing 'putrefy' and 'purify.' A proofreader would have saved the day!

I advise, proofread and copy edit in the areas where I am widely published - mainly children's and educational books (as featured here). However, I have qualified associates with expertise in fiction and humanities. Foremost among them is my novelist son Robin Triggs, author of Night Shift and Human Resources.

In the words of someone we've recently helped,

'How impressed I've been with the thoroughness of your proof-reading and editorial comments.

You're a pleasure to work with - meticulous, reliable and excellent value for money.'

We're old enough to remember paper but normally work with digital copy, proposing changes in a clear-cut way that leaves the author, editor or publisher in charge.

A word about delivery: We're often asked to turn things round quickly but we try to agree realistic deadlines - which we always honour.

We work as quickly as care allows.
